In the summer of 2008, Heidi Albertsen
assumed the dual roles of Chief Ambassador and
Fundraiser/Event Organizer for Life Project for Africa.
As the organization’s Chief Ambassador, Heidi’s mission
is to broaden Life Project’ strengths and efforts by
creating global awareness and support for Tanzania and
Africa through her international contacts and abilities.
Heidi has climbed to the 19,340 ft peak of Mount
Kilimanjaro in Tanzania twice while filming Kilimanjaro,
To the Roof of Africa, an IMAX film directed by David
Breshears. Heidi has always held Africa and helping
others very close to her heart.
Heidi is an internationally recognized Model and Actress
from Copenhagen, Denmark. Heidi was the winner of the
Elite Model look of the year making her a world renowned
model along the likes of other winners Cindy Crawford,
Stephanie Seymour, an Gisele Bundchen. Heidi has been a
judge of the miss Universe international Pageant. She
has been on the cover of numerous leading international
magazines such as: Elle, Harper Bazaar, Cosmopolitan,
and Shape. She has graced campaigns and runways for top
fashion designers and brands: Nicole Miller, Roberto
Cavali, Guess, Loreal, Vera Wang, Armani, Eascada, Neutrogena and Victoria’s Secret. Heidi has been in
several movies and has appeared on televisions shows
worldwide.
As fundraiser/ event organizer, Heidi has employed her
skills and experience to arrange functions to help bring
together interested supporters and of course, at the
same time, seek the income necessary for LIFE PROJECT to
carry out and expand its role in building capacity and
delivering support in health care, funding education of
Tanzania’s children, bringing life giving water to so
many areas in need, and helping people to help
themselves
Her worldly experience and resources in the arts,
fashion, and entertainment make her an instrumental and
vital role in assisting Life Project Africa carry its
message and to grasp sincere attention. Her work at Life
Project will help create continued construction of
healthcare and educational facilities, provide medical
assistance, care, and clean water to the many people in
dire need in Africa and Tanzania. Heidi’s love for the
fine arts, education, charity, and strong belief in God
have made her an essential part of Life Project Africa.
