Q-Drum

Help get fresh water to rural villages.

This clever water-toting device is literally changing lives overnight for the people of poor countries like Tanzania, where hours every day are spent finding and fetching water. School children especially must rise early in the morning to carry the water in large buckets on their heads before they can ever head off to school. More...

RE: Status and Appeal

Dear Supporter:

We thank you for your continued interest and support in the mission of Life Project for Africa, a mission which includes providing medical care and support for people in need.

Perhaps by now our story is well known to you, with the establishment of Njia Health Center outside of Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania. The center, little by little, has found local sources of support for users. But the vast majority of its support still comes directly from you, through Life Project for Africa.

We have treated 28,000 patients this past year, a 60% increase over 2010. We cannot do this without direct financial support from Life Project, to provide care for malaria, for children and their mothers, infant and newborn care, and care for pregnant women and their families.

They need your support.  Though it is a cliché, we need it now more than ever.  Like many organizations, some of our few larger institutional donors have seen their own revenues decline and have cut back their support.  The support which we receive from individuals and families plays a crucial role in helping our mission of saving life and giving hope.

On behalf of the patients we serve at the Njia Health Center, I wish you a very Happy and Joyous Holiday Season, and thank you for any support which you are able to provide to us.

Very truly yours,
